Great River Engineering - Certified Engineers & Surveyors

Great River engineers are experts in planning and designing storm water collection and conveyance systems. We have designed storm water projects throughout Missouri . Our projects range from on-site systems to convey and detain storm water from a single site to downtown storm water and flood control projects.

We are proud to have a history of providing storm water services to the City of Springfield on the National and Chestnut, National and Elm, and Republic to Woodhaven projects. We have a very stable staff due to very low employee turnover. In fact, the lead engineers and technicians that have served the City on these and other projects are all still part of the Great River team and available to serve on this and future projects.

Our staff has extensive knowledge of generally accepted storm water design requirements and evaluation techniques. We have consistently performed detailed analyses to ensure that our designs protect the Client and the public.

Great River uses a combination of the most accepted and reliable software packages in designing storm water projects, including:
  • HEC-1 (USACE Flood Hydrograph Package)
  • HEC-RAS (USACE River Analysis System)
  • StormCAD (Storm Sewer System Analysis)
  • FEQ (Full Equations Unsteady Flow Model)
